Strengths & Weaknesses Of Freeflow Hot Tubs

Plug-N-Play Technology

All Freeflow Spas feature plug-n-play technology. This keeps installation costs low, as you won't need to hire an electrician to hard wire it as you would with a 220V hot tub.

To set up a plug-and-play hot tub, fill it with water using a standard garden hose and then simply plug it into a standard 110V outlet.

All of these 110V hot tubs are convertible to 220V. If you want to run the heat on high at the same time as the jets, 220V is the option that you'll need to go with. Rather than quickly plugging it into a standard outlet yourself, an electrician will be required to carry out the wiring for the conversion.

Energy Efficiency

Each Freeflow spa features full foam insulation which helps it to retain heat. In combination with the thermal spa cover, this makes Freeflow hot tubs highly energy efficient.

Freeflow Spas are certified according to the strict guidance of the California Energy Commission, which set the standard for energy-efficient spas and hot tubs.

Portable Spas

Freeflow Spas are very lightweight and most of them weigh under 350 lbs when empty. They can fit pretty much anywhere including porches, balconies, and backyards.

They're manufactured to be durable, so you won't have to panic about transporting them.

Limited Features

If you are after a high-end luxury hot tub with all the top-notch features, then Freeflow isn't for you. This line offers entry-level plug-and-play models rather than the fancy Jacuzzi-style spas. The simplicity of Freeflow spa models equates to lower price points, perfect for the budget-minded buyer.

The optional accessories available to purchase for these hot tubs include the ozone kit for water sanitation, Gecko inTouch2 Wifi system, various styles of spa steps, cover lifter, and filters.

Other Brands To Consider

Before you make your purchase, here are a couple of other brands you might want to check out.

Tuff Spas

Tuff Spas offer a similar range of roto-molded hot tubs with comparable pricing.

They offer durable hot tubs in two collections, Standard and Platinum, some of which are available as plug-and-plays.

One of the best features is the Tuff Spas hard cover which comes with a lifetime warranty.

This unique feature lays flat when the hot tub is in use, and can double as a shelf or bar.

When it's closed, channels in the lid allow rainwater to run off. Water won't pool and cause the cover to sag and eventually go moldy the way a regular vinyl hot tub cover would.

The famous Jacuzzi brand offers a large range of luxury hot tubs with all the bells and whistles, but they also have a more affordable range of plug-and-play spas in their Jacuzzi Play Collection.

These entry-level hot tubs cost in the range of $4,000 to $8,000 and come with top features such as a lounge seat, attractive color options, LED lighting, water features, digital controls, full foam insulation, and headrests.

You can also get add-ons such as a handrail, spa steps, and cover lifter, as well as an upgrade to 240V as outlines in the Plug-n-play technology section.
